The time has come for the sun to set on Sand Point. It's with heavy hearts that we announce that our final service will be on Saturday January 17, 2026. Those of you who know us are keenly aware that Sand Point was always our dream, and we're so grateful to have brought this incredible cuisine to all of our friends here in Omaha.

From its inception, Sand Point was a place of family, love, community, and of course, amazing food. We've poured everything into making this place a success, but now it's time for us to turn our focus to family and personal health. We're so grateful to have been part of the incredible food scene here in Omaha these past few years, and it's been an absolute honor and pleasure to share in so many special moments with all of you. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to each and every guest who supported us as we brought this dream to life!

A few important notes:

Please be sure to redeem any gift cards before we close on 1/17. Stop in for your favorite New England eats and hand-crafted cocktails!
Given our impending closure, we will only be ordering product in limited quantities. We intend to make sure certain crowd favorites like our lobster rolls and soups are consistently offered, but some menu items may be more limited. We thank you in advance for your understanding as we prepare to close our doors with as little food waste as possible.

Some of our staff have found new work homes and we are therefore making some changes to our hours. Starting Saturday January 10th we will be opeinging at noon, and may need to adjust hours again to ensure proper staffing. Also please be patient as it may take a little longer than usual to get your food. We love seeing you and want to continue to offer you the best possible experience until the end of our final service!
If you see a resume from any of our incredible staff members come through, please strongly consider hiring them! Our team here at Sand Point is absolutely wonderful, and we would love to see them succeed in their next positions.
We do plan to list our assets for sale in the near future, and we would be thrilled to see someone take on this beautiful space and bring their dreams to life, just as we did. If you've been considering launching your own restaurant concept, this would be an amazing opportunity to get started!

ABOUT

Sand Point brings some of our favorite dishes from New England to the Omaha food community. We have brought some of the Three Kids Lobster dishes along, and added to this to create a menu that is unique to the area.

You might wonder "why Sand Point"? It is the name of the road that our owner's family cabin in Bar Harbor is on. Bonnie and Chris brought the kids to this cabin every summer and we had some of the most amazing dishes while there. This place holds such incredible memories for us, and we want to share that experience with you.
